Correctional Centres Chaplaincy

CCC is a chaplaincy organisation providing pastoral care to every prisoner in Queensland through volunteer evangelical Christians.

About 30 chaplains act to meet the needs of over 6,000 prisoners, providing them with a ray of hope through Jesus Christ, where before they faced helplessness and hopelessness.  Part of the goal is to help prisoners stay out of jail after they have served their time - and new life in Christ has proved to be the best way to achieve this!

The Director (Rev John Walker) and chaplains address Church groups with the message, "Prisoners are people!"  The common misperception that prisoners are vile or evil people is far from the truth.  Church people are the ones most likely to give an ex-prisoner a go.  There have been some remarkable success stories.

For more information, contact Rev John Walker on (07) 3256 2742.

Scripture Union Chaplaincy

Clayfield Baptist Church proudly supports Ian Charlesworth as chaplain of Kedron High School.  With the backing of Scripture Union, Ian is bringing hope to a generation of children facing the demanding pressures of teenage life in our modern culture.

Since SU Qld first introduced a Chaplain to a State school in 1990, Chaplaincy Services have been implemented in more than 200 schools across Queensland.

For more information, check out the SU website.

Queensland Baptist Aged Care Chaplaincy

In conjunction with Queensland Baptist Care, Ashgrove Baptist and Windsor Road Baptist, Clayfield Baptist Church provides ministry to make it possible for those in Aged Care at facilities such as Hilltop Gardens to know God's redeeming love.

Morning devotions are held most weekdays, with services conducted for the residents on Sunday mornings.  As some residents are without caring families or still-living friends, one-on-one visitations are also provided.

For more information, check out the QBC website.

J-Oz Japanese Fellowship

J-Oz fellowship exists to provide Japanese exchange students, new immigrants or those on working holidays with the opportunity to meet and share their Christian faith.  They are supported by Aussies with a genuine appreciation for their culture and language who have been a part of J-Oz for over 17 years.

J-Oz meet at the Community Centre on Old Cleveland Rd at 12:30 on the second Saturday of each month for a lunch, discussion and worship time together.
